Zipp’s first product almost three decades ago was a disc wheel. It’s at the heart of their heritage. Now, Zipp is pioneering the next generation of disc wheel, the Super-9 Disc-brake Carbon Clincher Disc. Road cycling’s latest advancement in performance – disc brakes for road bikes – is coming to triathlons and time trials, and Zipp is ensuring its fastest wheel ever is ready for this soon-to-arrive future.
Braking on modern time trial and triathlon bikes often has been a challenge. The superior performance of disc brakes changes all that with greater stopping power and more precise speed modulation, all with less hand effort than required by traditional brakes. That means greater confidence in corners, descents, and on technical courses. The disc brake version of the Super-9 disc, 1175 grams for the Carbon Clincher, retains the light weight of its rim-brake counterparts.
Efficient speed adjustments on technical sections of road are crucial to conserving energy and maintaining speed. Disc-brakes, standard in motorsports, gained prominence in mountain biking, then cyclocross, and now are being embraced on the road. The reason is simple: How you slow down influences how fast you go.
The Super-9 Disc itself, handmade at Zipp's factory in Indianapolis, USA, optimizes supreme aerodynamics, power transfer, stiffness, lightweight and durability. Disc brakes for road also open a wider range of tire selections for improved comfort, handling and rolling resistance. The Super-9, with its aero efficiency and stiffness, quickly became a go-to disc wheel for the world’s best time trialists and triathletes and has been ridden to numerous Ironman events, world championships, Grand Tour stages, and gold medals.
The new Super-9 Disc-brake Disc wheel is designed around the 177DD (for Disc) hub that features:
- Improved bearing protection and sealant
- Thru-axle compatible. Comes with thru-axle end caps that can be swapped by hand: 12x142mm
The 177DD uses a center-locking disc-mount standard. The Super-9 Disc-brake Disc wheel comes with a standard 10/11 speed driver body for SRAM/Shimano or for Campagnolo, allowing you to run a wide range of cassettes. For those looking for a wider gear range, a SRAM XDR driver body for 177DD (sold separately) is easily installed to allow for more cassette options. A 1.85mm spacer is included with the XDR driver body and is required for use on the 177DD hub. XDR driver body compatible with 11-speed cassettes only.
Each Wheel Includes:
- Silca disc valve adapter
- Zipp Tangente quick-release skewer
- Zipp Tangente tube 700c x 20-28mm
- Zipp rim tape 700c x 20mm
- Zipp valve hole sticker

What It Is
The G23 is the definition of a true gravel wheelset. At 330 grams, ENVE's lightest 700c tubeless rim accelerates quickly and ascends with ease. Armed against pinch flats with the patent-pending Wide Hookless Bead, the G23 is tough and relentless on road, path, or trail. The G23 is a 700c tubeless carbon clincher wheelset with a generous 23mm internal width, specifically conceived to meet the performance and ride quality demands of serious mixed-surface cyclists.
Who It's For
Created for those seeking to discover new experiences, new terrain, and new challenges. Built to reflect the versatility of today's gravel and mixed surface riders, these wheels will excite ambitious, daring, and indomitable riders everywhere. If your path leads to classics like Dirty Kanza, Landrun, Crusher in the Tushar, or a new wave of events like Grinduro or Lost and Found, the G23 is your wheel.
Why We Made It
There is a place between road and mountain that is open to discovery. Beyond the range of your trail bike or the capabilities of your road bike. Terrain littered with contradicting challenges and demanding requirements are at odds with the bikes and products available today. We built the new G23 to thrive in this new environment, because insights gained through building the world's best road and mountain bike rims told us that the perfect combination did not exist in our stable, or in our opinion, anywhere at all. The higher volume and lower pressures would demand MTB toughness and flat resistance, while big days and long miles would require the lightweight and efficiency of a road machine. Above all, the combination of rough and rigid would require a wheel with the ride quality to make those long miles enjoyable and multi-day treks possible.

$2,550.00
What It Is
The G27 is the G23's little big brother. Smaller in diameter and lighter in weight, the G27 is designed for the higher-volume tires demanded by many riders on rougher and looser terrain. At 320 grams, our lightest tubeless rim is 27mm wide and designed for tires marked 27.5 or 650B. Armed against pinch flats with the patent-pending Wide Hookless Bead, the G27 is at home off-road and capable on tamer stretches of singletrack.
Who It's For
Those seeking the challenge of drop-bar riding over more technical terrain that is typically frequented by mountain bikes will benefit from the additional air volume, durability, and anti-flat performance benefits provided by the G27. If your path leads you to rough roads, single tracks, and multi-day bikepacking adventures, the G27 may be for you.

What It Is
The definitive mountain wheel. The M6 Series defines the modern and varied interpretation of the mountain bike. Loaded with traction and acceleration on the climb, it's also backed with precision and control while absorbing vibrations and impacts on the descent. The M6 Series is designed in two diameters and three widths to ensure your sophisticated preference for tire size and pressure is met with an uncompromising tire-to-rim interface.
Who It's For
The mountain biker who wonders what is possible, the skeptic afraid of "plastic" wheels, the weight weenie, the Clydesdale, the high-mileage guy, the weekend warrior. It would be easier to describe who it is not for…
Why We Made It
ENVE showed the world that a mountain bike wheel could be carbon — we're still immensely proud of that achievement. A mountain bike wheel, however, can be so much more. The M6 Series is not about technical challenges, and we refuse to chase specifications in order to be the widest, tallest, or stiffest. For the M6 Series of wheels, the question was not about carbon, rather, "What is the potential of a mountain bike wheel?"
Each M6 Series wheel model is designed for the broad range of tire widths, hub configurations, and sizes so that you, the modern trail rider, can choose between them.

This wheel is the future of gravity riding and racing. It's ride-optimized, incredibly strong, and debuts the most effective and lightest anti-flat system on the market (ENVE's patent-pending Protective Rim Strip). These wheels will give downhill-oriented riders a new freedom to set their tire pressure for cornering and rock garden stability without sacrificing their confidence to smash track speeds.
Who It's For
Gravity junkies, Enduro racers, and hard-charging trail riders will find enlightenment riding the M7 Series. A completely new shape and design that massively reduces the risk of pinch flatting and/or damaging the carbon, the M7 Series provides the confidence to ride without limitations.
Why We Made It
Enduro runs on two things – Confidence and Control. Nothing ruins a good shred fest like a flat tire or broken rim, and nothing spooks you on a dusty trail like an unexpected drift. With this in mind, we have been hard at work over the past 2 years to develop a carbon wheel system that will allow ourselves, athletes, and most importantly – you – to go "full-send" without compromising the ride experience by running high tire pressures, DH tires, and heavy pinch flat reduction inserts.
Building upon the platform of the M7 Series' predecessor the M70, we re-profiled the rim to mate up with modern tires and to absorb trail vibrations and chatter. However, just fitting tires is not enough. We know that riders also want the freedom to run lower pressure and that doing so can introduce flat tires and damaged rims. The ENVE solution is a new rim shape paired with ENVE's patent-pending, energy-absorbing Protective Rim Strip. With this technology, riders can skip the inserts and run the tires and pressures they want. Amazingly, we've managed to keep the weight neutral and improve impact resistance too.

While the CLX 32 rim is the lightest and most aero in its category, there's much more to it than that. It’s a durable, 2Bliss Ready, and wide-profiled carbon rim that’s ready to take on any adventure. Because of this, we developed the CLX 32 650b Disc wheelset. We wanted to create a lightweight wheel that works well with plus-sized tires—one that could also be used on anything from tarmac to gravel. And yes, while many opt to use mountain bike wheels for this application, there are various advantages to choosing the CLX 32 650b Disc.
First off, while most mountain wheels have hubs that are convertible to various axle standards, not many are convertible to the 12mm road thru-axle standard. Secondly, mountain wheels often come with either a SRAM XD driver, a Shimano 11-speed mountain, or 10-speed road freehub, making them incompatible with contemporary 11-speed road cassettes. And lastly, most mountain wheels use standard six-bolt disc brake hubs, rather than the Center Lock hubs found on most road applications.
With a 21mm internal width, however, the CLX 32 650b Disc features an inner width that’s consistent with many XC-oriented mountain bike wheels, so it pairs well with 650+ road and gravel tires. And with the 42-47mm tires associated with 650+, the tire and rim interaction is equally as important as the tire itself—too narrow of a rim and you’re left with an overly-rounded profile; too wide and the tread is too squared off. In either situation, you're going to get poor handling characteristics.
Each CLX 32 650b Disc set also uses the legendary CeramicSpeed bearings and comes with our padded wheelbag, quick-release, tubeless plugs, and tubeless valves.
- Rim Type: Carbon clincher, 2Bliss-Ready
- Rim Material: Carbon
- Braking Surface: Disc brake only

Zipp's 353 NSW Tubeless Disc-brake wheel is the pinnacle of our pursuit of versatility and speed. This wheel fuses Zipp's two most advanced approaches, Sawtooth rim profile and TSE, for an all-encompassing approach to performance. With its undulating 45mm-deep rim shape, the 353 NSW provides speed on every terrain with best-in-class aerodynamic efficiency and crosswind stability. The 353 NSW is Zipp's lightest tubeless wheel yet, making it a fast-puncher ready to fight its way into the breakaway.
Zipp's use of hookless (straight side) rims in the 353 NSW is integral to achieving our mission of Making You Faster. With hookless, the transition between the tire and the rim is more seamless and aero. Zipp's hookless rims have more efficient resin distribution, which means lighter wheels. They also are highly durable.
Zipp's 353 NSW's Sawtooth rim shape with Hyperfoils optimizes aerodynamic efficiency and crosswind stability. The Sawtooth design also allows the rim to be structurally strong but light. That will help you snap out of corners and maintain that speed no matter the terrain, especially in the steep, punchy stuff.
The 353 NSW utilizes Zipp's Total System Efficiency, or TSE, approach to wheel design: overcoming specific barriers to speed: wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance, and vibration losses. The wheel's 25mm internal width is ideal for running wider tubeless tires at reduced air pressure for a more efficient ride.
At the center of the 353 NSW is the Cognition V2 Hubset, re-engineered with an updated Axial Clutch V2 mechanism for quicker engagement and lower friction, as well as improved durability.

The CLX 64 Track Tubular was brought to life under the Allez Allez team at the 2016 Red Hook Crit. Along these lines, you get all of the unrivaled aero performance of the CLX 64, albeit with DT Swiss track hubs and Aerolite spokes, for a stiff, smooth, and most importantly, fast ride on the boards.
One of the first questions we get about the CLX 64 is, “Why 64mm instead of 65mm?” To put it simply, it's because 64mm tested faster than 65mm. One millimeter—that's how deep our testing goes. Having an in-house wind tunnel allows us to run every possible variation, and after two-years of development, 80 variations in rim design, and nearly 300 hours of Win Tunnel testing time studying tire and frame interactions, we found 64mm to be the fastest iteration for normal riding conditions. In fact, it's even faster than the 80-plus-millimeter-deep wheels they were tested against. Being able to use a shape that’s nearly 20mm shallower than the competition, yet just as low in drag, makes for a wheel that has drastically less side force and steering torque. This translates to less buffeting and more confidence in even the gustiest winds.
Another positive of a shallower rim depth is the reduction in weight that follows using less material. Many deep carbon wheels feel “slow” due to their high inertia value. What's that? Inertia is the amount of force it takes to accelerate or decelerate, and wheels that are built around heavier rims lack the liveliness that many riders crave. Being over a half-a-pound lighter than the other wheels in its aero category, the CLX 64 accelerates, decelerates, and changes direction with less effort.

While there may be a linear relationship between increased tire size and increased fun, this relationship only holds true when wider tires are paired with the correct width rims. Having a 2.8", or high-volume, tire mated to a narrow rim makes for a squirmy, poor handling experience, and when you’re on the hunt for additional fun, these characteristics are undesirable. Lucky for you, the new age of traction, stability, and speed has arrived—and its name is the Traverse 38 SL Fattie 27.5.
Along with light overall weight, stiffness, and durability, another top priority for the Traverse SL was ease of use. First off, we got rid of the creaky straight-pull spokes and corrosion-prone alloy nipples. Next up, we landed on 28 J-bend spokes, for front and rear wheels, that are all the same length—making it easy to find replacements if needed. And finally, we engineered a new hub design, with a wider profile and higher flange to aid in overall stiffness.
While our 38-millimeter Traverse SL is already wider than most offerings, the benefits of three-inch tires become more apparent with a proper rim interface. In search for the proper width, our engineers tested various iterations, from 30 to 45 millimeters, to determine where the sweet spot lies. What they ended up with is a 38-millimeter internal rim width that turns the Traverse 38 SL Fatties into descending machines.
A wide internal rim width endows riders with a variety of advantages that are exemplified even more with plus-sized tires. The extra width allows for more tire volume, translating into more supple ride qualities, and better support for the tire, meaning that you'll experience less "burping" when riding tubeless and a drastic increase in traction. After determining the proper rim width for the plus-sized application, we began designing the rim using the same low-weight, high-strength technologies used in the Traverse SL and the Control SL. With this, we started with our Zero Bead Hook design that effectively eliminates the biggest weak spot found in traditional rims, and topped it off by using high-modulus carbon fiber to keep the weight down. And to further this theme, the wheels also include the Roval tubeless plug system, which sheds an additional 50 grams-per-wheel compared to a rim strip
Each Traverse 38 SL Fattie is hand-built to our own alloy hubs with DT Swiss Competition Race spokes. Inside our hubs, you'll find sealed cartridge bearings all-around, and a quick-engaging 54t DT Swiss star ratchet system in the rear that allows you to power over rocks and roots without delay. And while machines do a decent job of building wheels, we choose professionally trained humans to build ours, as they catch various flaws that a machine would otherwise miss.

Trail wheels often fall into two categories—they’re either heavy and durable or light and flexy. And because of this, a lightweight, wide-profile, and enduro-ready carbon wheel seems like something only found in a fairytale, but lucky for you, we made it a reality. The Traverse SL Fattie 27.5 puts all the flick'able, nimble features you need in an all-mountain wheel into one package, and it has the results to prove it.
Along with light overall weight, stiffness, and durability, another top priority for the Traverse SL was ease of use. First off, we got rid of the creaky straight-pull spokes and corrosion-prone alloy nipples. Next up, we landed on 28 J-bend spokes, for both the front and rear wheels, that are all the same length—making it easy to find replacements if needed. And finally, we engineered a new hub design, with a wider profile and higher flange to aid in overall stiffness.
What's with the big-boned name, you ask? The Traverse SL Fatties may be wide, but with a 30mm inner rim width, they’re far from the girth of a fat bike rim. But let's talk width. You've probably noticed that mountain bike rim widths have hovered between 19 and 23 millimeters for decades, and they've been long overdue for a change. In the search for a better wheel design, our engineers began testing 2.3- to 2.5-inch tires on 45-millimeter-wide fat bike rims to see what, if any, benefits could be found. It only took them a few rides to realize that the wider rims offered a variety of advantages, like adding additional tire volume, which better supports the tires in hard cornering, greatly improves traction because of the ability to run lower pressures, and noticeably increases rim stiffness. They did note that there is an occurrence of diminishing returns with increasing width, however, and after testing everything from 25 to 45mm, determined that a 30mm inner width is optimal.
After determining the width, we began designing the rim using the knowledge that we gained when developing the Control SL. With this, we started with our Zero Bead Hook technology that gets rid of the weak spot found in a traditional wheel, and combined it with the wider profile to make a carbon rim that effectively dissipates forces. This way, you can take abuse from rocks without the worry of cracks or dents. Ok, so they’re strong, impact-resistant, and tire supporting—they must be heavy, right? Wrong. Even though “fattie” is in their name, they're far from fat.
To achieve this weight, we hand-build our rims to our own alloy hubs, using only the highest quality DT Swiss Competition Race spokes. Inside our hubs, you'll find DT Swiss 240 internals with a quick engaging 54t DT Swiss star ratchet system in the rear that allows you to power over rocks and roots without delay. And while machines do a pretty good job of building wheels, we choose professionally trained humans because they do so with an artistic touch that makes for minimal flaws.
Whether you need a carbon wheelset to get you through an enduro stage or one to shred your local rock garden, the Traverse SL Fattie has you covered.

The 353 NSW is Zipp's lightest tubeless wheelset yet, making it a fast-puncher ready to fight its way into the breakaway.
Zipp's use of a hookless (straight side) rim in the 353 NSW is integral to achieving our mission of Making You Faster.

When Zipp gave their top engineers in The Nest advanced development lab the task of shedding more weight from their lightest carbon clincher wheelset, the 202 Firecrest, while also improving rolling friction, aerodynamics, and braking, it was a very tall order. When they asked them to do all of this without sacrificing durability, it looked like an impossibility. But the NSW advanced development team delivered on every request and built the ultimate climbing wheelset, a climbing wheelset strong enough to use on every ride.
Engineered to be the fastest accelerating carbon clincher Zipp has ever made, 202 NSW flies up the toughest climbs, and then shaves even more time off of the descents to follow. And because extracting greater speed on the mountain is only half the battle, they built the 202 NSW to deliver the lowest aerodynamic drag available for a rim of this depth for speed everywhere else.
In order for a climbing wheelset to be world beating it has to do more than simply deliver low weight; it has to deliver uncompromising performance on every level. This is why Zipp engineers in The Nest chose to enhance the world’s fastest climbing carbon clincher, the 202 Firecrest.
With a new lighter carbon fiber layup for the 32mm deep 202 NSW, they’ve dropped weight where it matters most, at the outer edge of the wheel, while maintaining the durability and lateral stiffness that Firecrest is famous for. Then they reduced aerodynamic drag with ABLC Sawtooth technology and used ImPress graphics to ensure that nothing stood between the air flowing over the rim and the dimples made to smooth that flow. Knowing that there is no benefit to a wheelset that climbs fast and descends slow, NSW engineers incorporated their Showstopper brake track for the most confidence inspiring rim braking performance available, whether the road is wet or dry.
To further improve the wheelset’s rolling efficiency, the 202 NSW rim is laced to their groundbreaking Cognition hubset. Built around their Axial Clutch freehub technology, the Cognition rear hub is engineered to maintain speed when coasting by disengaging the ratchet mechanism. This technology enables the Cognition rear hub to deliver far less rolling friction than wheels using conventional freehubs—a real advantage when fighting through rolling foothills or when spun out on long descents.
Engineered for speed when approaching, ascending, traversing, and descending the world’s toughest mountain roads, the Zipp 202 NSW is a wheelset that can only come from one place, The Nest, where the world’s fastest wheels are made.

$1,350.00 - $1,750.00
Built on the foundation laid by Firecrest, offering unrivaled crosswind stability and the most aerodynamically efficient rim design on the market, the 303 NSW takes it all to the next level. Like its siblings, 404 NSW and 808 NSW, Zipp's top engineers in The Nest advanced development lab incorporated improved aerodynamics, industry leading braking performance, and reduced rolling friction to produce the lightest, highest-performance 303 wheelset Zipp has ever made.
Light enough to fly up climbs, tough enough to excel in the cobbled classics, and with the industry's best available braking performance for the most technical descents, the 45mm deep 303 NSW is built for a singular purpose: To be fast, everywhere.
But the 303 NSW is no "race day only" wheelset to be tucked away in a wheel bag until a race number is pinned to the rider's jersey. It's built to take the abuse of everyday training rides. Zipp has achieved this reliability at a lighter weight with a revised carbon fiber layup developed through testing on the famed cobbles of the Forest of Arenberg with the world's fastest riders.
Because the toughest roads often experience the toughest weather conditions, they've included Zipp's Showstopper brake track for braking performance that delivers the best modulation and shortest stopping distances in wet and dry conditions. And they've improved aerodynamics with their ABLC Sawtooth technology and Impress graphics to produce a rim that is as fast as it is stealthy.
At the center of the 303 NSW wheelset is the Cognition hubset. Built to provide the lowest rolling friction possible without compromising sealing, the hub's Swiss-made bearings work in tandem with Zipp's Axial Clutch technology to dramatically cut rolling friction when compared with conventional freehub systems. Bottom line: Cognition hubs make the 303 NSW fast, even when you aren't pedaling.
All of these technologies combine to build a wheelset that only NSW technology can produce, a wheelset with unrivaled performance. Wherever the road may take you, get there faster on Zipp 303 NSW wheels.

$1,350.00 - $1,750.00
Following the success of the 808 NSW, which was ridden to victory at the Pro Men’s Ironman World Championships and the Elite Women’s UCI Team Time Trial World Championships, Zipp is proud to launch their second wheelset in the NSW Series, the Zipp 404 NSW Carbon Clincher. Zipp's advanced development engineers in their top-secret lab, known as The Nest, have delivered a wheelset with improved braking performance, exceptional aerodynamic efficiency, and unparalleled crosswind stability with the most popular and best-selling rim depth. Like the 808 NSW, the 404 NSW also makes use of a Cognition hubset for increased durability and exceptionally low freehub drag.
No matter where you ride, the 404 NSW is engineered to make that ride faster. With a rim depth of 58mm, the 404 NSW is designed as a do-everything wheelset that is adept at climbing and maintaining speed on the flats; a wheel strong enough to handle the Spring Classics, but light enough to inspire sprints out of corners.
With its advanced aerodynamics, developed using 42 different CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) concept studies and months in the wind tunnel, the 404 NSW’s unrivaled crosswind stability saves watts that would have been spent keeping the bike straight, and provides unequivocal confidence for high speed descending.
When it comes time to slow for a corner, the NSW-exclusive Showstopper brake track stands ready to deliver the best modulation and shortest stopping distances available, regardless of weather conditions or the length of the descent.
Simply put, the 404 NSW represents the cutting-edge of carbon clincher wheel technology delivered straight from The Nest, where Zipp’s advanced development engineers design the world’s fastest wheels.

Feel your bike come alive on the open road with the new Alpinist CLX II-the lightest, best-handling clincher wheels we have ever made. Hyper-responsive acceleration, magic in the corners, sublime over rough roads, all elevated with the performance of a tubeless system. There's no room for a single excess gram whether you're chasing summits or ride quality because perfection is only achieved when there is nothing left to take away. It takes more than a lightweight rim to deliver the incredible reactivity and handling of the tubeless Alpinist CLX II. The wheelset is designed as a system with our engineers controlling and testing every part of that system-hubs, rims, spokes, lacing-and developing it hand-in-hand with Specialized Tubeless tires. The result is a 1250-gram tubeless wheelset with otherworldly ride quality. The Alpinist CLX II utilizes a hooked rim (allowing for real-world riding pressures up to 110psi, if that's your thing) for secure tire bead retention and an easier set up and mounting experience than ever before. All in a wheel that almost doubles current industry impact standards while managing to achieve the lightest weight possible. Our all-new LightAF hubs are the spinning heart of the Alpinist CLX II. We carved 50 grams out of the previous Alpinist CLX hub with new low-profile hub bodies and machined rotor mounts. Inside, DT Swiss EXP internals and SINC ceramic bearings deliver silky-smooth efficiency and outstanding durability.
